Still Waiting for An Admission

Lizzy’s blood counts are still not where they need to be for an admission.  Today, her platelets and her ANC were below the threshold for admission, but thankfully, they were both high enough so that she does not need any transfusions.

Today marks the 4th time we’ve checked her counts for possible admission, and it’s the 4th time they weren’t high enough.

We will check her counts again on Thursday, and if they reach acceptable levels, she will get admitted on Friday.  Once she gets admitted, the final 3-week cycle begins, with the 2nd and 3rd week of the cycle consisting of one outpatient treatment each week that is not dependent on blood counts.  So, once we can get this cycle started, then the countdown to End of Treatment begins!!

We know God’s timing is perfect, so we just wait and trust and know that He is in control.  In the meantime, we are thankful that she doesn’t need any transfusions!

Hopefully I will have good news to report on Thursday!
