Lori and Lizzy came home around 2:30p this afternoon. As soon as they walked in the door, Lizzy headed straight for the bathtub! When her port is accessed and she is hooked up to an IV, she can’t have a bath – instead she gets cleaned up each day with special bathing wipes.
Well, Lizzy loves her bath time so she was very eager to jump in and take a real bubble bath when she got home!
The next few days will be spent (hopefully) relaxing and getting her blood counts checked every 2-3 days. Based on those counts, she may have to have transfusions, but we’ll cross that bridge when (if) we come to it. In the meantime, Lizzy is enjoying being back home, and we are so glad she’s back!!
So thankful they are home and both Mom and daughter are looking great. Both had the smile on when I got a glimpse of them.
So glad to hear they are home safely. Keeping all in prayer & Lizzy’s blood count stays up & no transfusion needed.
To God be the glory!
Welcome home Lori and Lizzy! Rest up!
Bless her heart
