Happy GOTCHA DAY, Lizzy!!

On this day, October 25, in 2016, our beautiful, sweet Lizzy officially became a Brooks!  So today is her GOTCHA DAY!!

When she came into our home at 9 months of age, we had no idea what road lay ahead of us. All we knew was we had this bundle of joy with the biggest brown eyes we’d ever seen – and an eagerness to go-go-go!

Approximately 2.5 years after she came to us, we officially adopted her.  13 months after that, she received her first cancer diagnosis. And 8 months after that she received her second cancer diagnosis.  To say this little girl has lived a lifetime of experiences in her 5 short years of life would be a major understatement! But through it all, God has been leading us and strengthening us and showing us His goodness. We are thankful beyond words for the privilege of being Lizzy’s forever family.

We are forever changed!!

Look at those eyes!!
