Admitted and waiting . . . .

Today we brought Lizzy back to Cincy Childrens and she was admitted. Coming back to a hospital and being admitted, then having a steady stream of doctors and nurses come into the room was eerily familiar. It felt like we had done this before.

Surgery is Thursday. Unfortunately, because Lizzy’s case is an “add on”, we still don’t have a definitive time for the surgery. They will simply work her in when they can. We were literally told it could be anywhere from 7am to 7pm.

As soon as we know a time, i will post it to the blog. In the meantime, feel free to pray for Lizzy all day tomorrow!

Special shout-out to the Preschool/Childrens and Foster/Adoptive Ministry staff from our church who came to the house today before we left and prayed with and for Lizzy. There were about a dozen people who showed up at our door – some we knew, some we didn’t. It was a very special time and one that absolutely strengthened Lori and I for the journey. We know God’s got this, and He is working mightily through His people!

I’ll post again as soon as I know more details on the surgery.
